XD I felt a tremor at home today. It's very rare for natural disasters to happen in Malaysia (except flash floods) so I was actually amused and felt fun feeling the tremor. XD School's re-opening soon. Maybe then, I would have less time to think so much and more time to do work. :3 Will be changing the front image soon, and also... doing New Year artwork. I suck at these things but I'm trying. Then the weeks after that I went for a holiday trip and my mom "hired" me to work for my dad, helping him as a lorry driver. By the time I finished work I was too tired to draw or do anything, so I didn't update last week. I'm really sorry. Maybe I wasn't cut out to be a manga artist in the future. Chern lectured me with his logicness again, after so many months of peace. He started with the theory of "living objects don't belong in our galaxy", and then "the creation of our galaxy", and then about me being too much of a worrywuss. I hate lectures and sentimental talks, but that's the reason I'm thinking much more than I need to. Nobody has sent me any mail for the activity mentioned below. Shows how lame I am. Hah. I went on a visit to the Spice Farm and got some inspiration at the beach nearby. :3 I visited Laneesha's site and was amazed by the artwork there. Wish I could draw like that. I'm gonna have to improve next year. Oh, yeah, I found out that most of the links in this page led to wrong pages. And nobody noticed, or bothered. XD Hah, I must be somewhat unpopular or something. Flash movie is done, finally! I've been mentioning this since June. My punctuality is terrible as ever. ;_; The next thing I'm hoping to work on now is continuing Phoenix manga and Animenifesto!. Date: 18-10-2004 3:36pm Monday Updated: -Gallery: Oekaki Rant: Okay, I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm offering to draw the main page's title image based on visitor's preference. If it were some poll, the choices would be limited. If it were by mail a lot of visitors would feel too lazy to vote/ suggest anything. So here is what I plan; first off I accept e-mail for suggestions for the upcoming images. After a week or month, I'll gather all of the suggestions into a poll and visitors can vote for their favourite choice. The only problem would be the poll host. I don't like Lycos polls and most other polls load slow or are crappy. Wish I could create site polls myself. Okay, so here goes. If you've seen the first 2 title images, you may be wondering what is with the stupid backgrounds and faceless person in it. My basic idea of the images is to show the bizarre world of Laksapedia. Hopefully when enough title images are done, I can come up with a short comic with the elements portrayed. If you wish to place your direction of the story, you just need to send an e-mail. For this coming image, you'll need to suggest: 1) The name of the person in the picture. 2) The names of the two lands in the previous images. 3) The name of the future land the person will be travelling to. 4) The reason that person is travelling there. 5) A brief description of the place you suggested in 3). Notes: You don't have to suggest for all of the above, you can just suggest one of them (e.g. name of person). If there are no more than 1 suggestion, I'll throw in mine to make up for a poll. For 3), the future destination could be the previous lands already drawn. :3 And for 5), the more vivid your imagination, the better grasp I have of what the place looks like. I cannot guarantee that it looks exactly as imagined though. Phew, I rant too much this time. I hope everybody takes part and help live up the site. :3 As for the forum, I'm still searching for a good host. There was a P7 refugee forum, but nothing can ever be the same as the original no matter what. Date: 11-10-2004 4:06pm Monday Updated: -Gallery: Oekaki Rant: Exams are over until next year, and I'm glad I can forget about it for a while. >w<; I didn't manage to do any oekakis last week. I'll get a few done today. My band performed for the very first time in public last Friday. Holy jeeps, I didn't feel nervous at all, honestly. I don't know what the hell was I thinking, we were playing Blur's Song 2 on stage, I was singing, Thivan (the drummer) couldn't hear me because he was crashing on all the way, Gavin (lead guitar) mis-tuned his guitar and wrecked the whole tune of the song off, William (backing guitar) had no problems. The outro sucked; Thivan couldn't hear me singing and ended the song earlier. Somehow we weren't boo-ed or appreciated, so we were not sure if we were supposed to be happy or not. But overall, everybody gave an average opinion, with some negative comments. Geez, we could've done better. Anyway, now that everything is done with, I can finally relax... Currently I still have the Flash movie, comics to be moved and updated (ever since this site came about ;_;). Please bear with the slow updates, I'm doing my best. I could've updated this last week but the diskette he gave me was faulty. Final year exam begins next Tuesday and ends on the following week's Thursday, I think. So I won't be updating next week. Btw, FYI, the ETC page has been modified for easier viewing. If you think it sucks or anything mail me ya. Next site update will be two weeks after. I made a phone call to a hotline for helping people ease their depression. Expressing my anger and what I had inside of me made me feel better, but nothing changed at all. I still think the world sucks. And I was labeled a teenager who thinks a lot at his age. Bah, I'm just worrying too much, huh? FYI, the comic is for the Open Category. It's for all ages. I'm supposed to enter the 18-below category, but my story is of 8 pages. So whoever waiting for me to draw them a pic or something, please excuse me until end of September, okay? Oh yeah, for the comics (Animenifesto and Phoenix) I'll update them after September. I have to say this project might not be as good as the previous one because it's kind of a "cut-and-paste" project. I've finally posted the first page of my new comic project, "Headshot!" The second page isn't complete. Main page is updated with new top image. It's something like a continuation of the previous image.
