It has been two days since the Human clan waged seige upon us Night Elves. We were struck by sudden, unaware, thus our unprotected Holy Grounds were burned to ashes in a matter of hours. Only a number of us survived and escaped, and one of them was I. We were only left with 5 Wisps as workers as well as 800 gold and 50 piles lumber. But I won't give up. The enemy has announced their next final seige in the next 5 days -- I'll be prepared by then. It would be either us Night Elves or the Human clan last standing. I had no time to lose. We set foot right after we found a Gold Mine; the source for rebuilding our civilization. I ordered the Wisps to rebuild our Holy Grounds immediately. As the Tree of Life was revived, I had it produce more Wisps to ease the workload. Once our Wisps reached the amount of twenty, I had a Wisp build the Ancient War, the ground for training our Wisps into warriors of the night; Archers and Huntresses. In the next few hours, I was dismayed to find the Archers and Huntresses weak and vulnerable. I had no choice but to train them myself. If we were to go into battle with an army of Archers and Huntresses of this level, we would be extinct in a minute. In the next two days, our army grew to a larger number of Archers and Huntresses. With my training, I am sure we can overpower the Humans. But the Humans have a wide range of well-equiped warriors who can turn the tide with their advanced equipments. We can't just go into war with just bows and arrows and Glaives as weapons. We needed defensive as well as magical equipment to make sure the Humans do not get at us. On the third day, I was reported by one of my faithful Wisps that our gold mine has collapsed. I would have to search for a new location to build up more resources. With a portion of my army, I set off in search for a new gold mine at night. Coincidently, there was another mine nearby; just a hundred hundred feet away from our Holy Ground. But I was shocked to see a Human expedition mining there. We were too late. But no, we won't let them have it. We'll seige their encampment and use their resources for our own. I gave the war cry. We struck then at midnight sharp. They were unprepared. We killed off their peasants so they woould not be able to repair their buildings. Their footmen stormed at us. The Humans seem to have a defensive army. No matter. With my lead, my army was able to kill them off in a swift blow. In a matter of time, their base was under control. The remaining Humans were either taken prisoners or workers along with our Wisps. Our clan soon prospered like it has for the past five thousand years. I had the Wisps build and upgrade new buildings to train a larger variety of Night Elf warriors. Our Intelligent Druids and Dryads were brought back from the dead. The Mountain Giants were resurrected from the earth. The Ancient Chimaeras and Fairy Dragons were bred and grown to aid in our battles. We will not lose to the Humans this time. The fourth night arrives eventually. The scouts suddenly sounded the War siren; An army of Humans were travelling towards us from South. We were being seiged earlier than expected. This time they brought along their Knights and Warriors riding on enslaved and trained animals; the Griffens. We were at outnumbered. Not only that, their Griffen-riders had air coverage. Our Archers could take them out easily unless they were interrupted by other Human ground units. The Huntresses defended the front line. The Archers took their positions in safe locations. We launched our counter-attack. We were prepared for this day. Their army seemed immortal. Our warriors could not reduce their number of army. I was drawn to a dead end. Are Humans going to trample over the peaceful and holy earth once our nature-loving clan is gone? No, I won't let it happen. With further observation, I soon found their secret weapon. Their Acolytes were the ones backing up the Footmen and Knights. With their magical healing powers, no wonder their army looked invincible. With our newly trained Mountain Giant, I had it battle the horde and taunt their Acolytes. In a single slam to the ground, the Mountain Giant sent all the Acolytes flying out of formation and running for their lives. Our Archers struck them down with their arrows. The tide has turned. The Humans decided to retreat to their base and recover before they launch their ultimate wave. But I definitely would not let them have it their way. We gave chase and pinned each and every one of the Humans who tried to escape. We were not fully victorious as our army has suffered great loss as well. The battle was fierce and a lot of our warriors in the frontline were killed or injured. Our Mythical Chimaeras and Fairy Dragons were not spared of the Humans' slaughter. But I could not waste anymore time. With each and every unit including Wisps and our reserved army of Warriors, we set out in our journey to the main Human encampments to settle this once and for all. It was time to strike back at those wretched Humans. The fifth morning arises. We arrived at their encampment and took cover. The Night Elf clan was famous in battle for using the night environment to their advantage. But as time flows, our strategy which depends on the darkness began to turn useless. But I won't let a single disadvantage dampen our spirits. Warriors of the night! We shall show them our strength on this fateful day! With all my might, I let out a thundering war cry and declared the beginning of the battle against the Humans. They were well prepared, just like us. Their watchtowers filled with Bowmen stood ready to strike our frontliners. Their Riflemen gathered in the same formation as our Archers, waiting for the right moment to strike. Their Footmen and Knights charged straight at us. In the lead of line, thier Paladin leader, Lord Uther, commenced their war strategy. As a backliner even though a leader, I held ground together with the Archers to back up the Huntresses, Druids and Dryads. The sight of the battle was sickening but unavoidable. It could either be their end or ours. The Mountain Giants took the front line, and as expected, their taunts made them prime targets for the Human Riflemen and Footmen. Several earth-splitting hammerblows slammed the earth and buried a few hundred of the human warriors. However they kept coming at a fast pace. Our Giants could not hold them off for long, they would be killed by the swarm of humans. The Druids and Dryads held a portion of the Humans by poisoning and casting cyclone magic on them. But this woould not last long as their mana powers were limited. I was not a fool to have left my base unattended. Before I left, I had ordered the Ancient War trainers to keep training more warriors to reinforce our army in case we were outnumbered. The problem was, when will they arrive? Will we be able to hold off until then? I had to think positive. We could not give up now. It was a fight to the finish. Our final Mountain Giant collapsed to the earth. The Humans trampled over the creatures and marched forward toward us. The Human mages revived the Giants' spirits and manipulated them, turning them into Golems. Now they have an additional army. We were going to lose no matter what. In a final attempt to repel their army from reaching our Archers, I ordered the Wisps to get into the frontline and detonate themselves, killing spirits in the area. With all my Wisps, their detonation wiped off the Humans' summoned Golems. At least the Wisps sacrifices were not at vain. I shall avenge each and every of my comrades in this battle! Finally, our reinforcements arrived. The new army of Mountain Giants defended the frontlines once again, pushing back the human horde. With my Holy Aura, I boosted all of my comrade's battle strength. This was the moment we had been waiting for! We struck back at full force. With all of our units marching forward, the Humans were forced back. The Humans had started losing faith in their attacks. Their Paladin leader however, pushed on. Some Humans had a strong sense of determination. But that won't help for today. The Humans were unexpectedly reinforced. Just like ours, they had a new amount of army coming right at us. We must continue despite this. To our relief, our might Chimaeras and Fairy Dragons had been resurrected in time and arrived at the battle site to further reinforce our army. The Chimaera breathed magical volcanic fumes and wiped out a wide range of the Human Footmen and Riflemen. The Fairy Dragon boosted the magic powers of our Druids and Dryads to fight more effectively with their magical skills. Night slowly enclosed as the war continues. Lord Uther, the so-called holy Paladin leader was the only Human left as the base was torn down by our Chimaeras and Mountain Giants. As a man of strong passion, he fought on continuously without giving up. Miraculously he was able to tackle our Mountain Giants single-handedly. This Human was not to be underestimated. I've had enough of being in the defenses. As a leader myself, I could not stand waiting for my comrades to get killed by one pathetic Human. I dashed out of my position over to the battle site between my comrades and the Paladin. With my magically enforced arrow and precision, I picked up my bow and shot directly at Uther's heart. It went straight through him. Still in defiance, the Paladin let out a final blow to everything around him and removed them of their vessel. The Mountain Giants around him crumbled one by one, and finally the Paladin fell to his knees. He died in a possibly honourable way. The war was over. The Human clan has been defeated, and the Night Elf clan has been rid of the threat of extinction. But for all we know, the Humans will one day rise again and wage war upon us once again. Who knows what technology them might have invented by that time, and what strategy them might use the future. But as long as they keep improving, so will ours. We would not be overpowered by them if they ever decide to launch a seige on us again. The Night Elves, immortal with the blessing of the Ancients, will observe and learn from what nature has to offer. That alone would aid us in the future against threats and predators.
